If a faculty or departmental staff member requests a guest parking permit for a non-UC Davis user to park, these are the steps:
Send invite to guest:
- PI requests parking, provides information, and KFS account (if necessary)
- Go to Department Permit on TAPS website
- Click on Place an online order through the Special Events Parking System. button
- Login
- Note: do not select Claim Department Guest Permit Invite. That is for the guest person who needs to park.

- Log in with UC Davis SSO method
- Scroll down to Proxy Login
- Enter in department mode for Account Number Login: U0030150
- Note: user must already be added to the list of proxies for the department
- Select Send New Guest Permit Invite
- Enter in identifying information for the batch name: Name of Guest, Guest Lecturer, ESP ClassNumber - Date
- Enter in email of guest lecturer, add yourself as the CC
- Select the Department Guest Permit ($14.00 / day) Permit Type
- Select the Start Date
- Add Additional Message
- E.g. Hi Guest Name, PI Name recommends using the parking garage on Howard Way across from the tennis courts. If you find the garage full you may also park behind or around the tennis courts. Your pass is valid in all A, C+, C, and L zones.

- Attach Parking Map (PDF)
- Select the Billing Option Recharge permit to Department Account
- For departmental guest parking permit requests (e.g. ESP 00 class), use KFS department account AESIGAA
- For other groups, use account number provided by PI
- Confirm details before clicking Continue button
Review list of invites sent to guests:
- After logging in as the Proxy, view Permits
- View list of recent permit invites
- If guest parking permit remains unclaimed, check in with PI
